Kathleen ONeill, PT, DPT

Therapist

My journey towards becoming a physical therapist began by studying anatomy and physiology in my free time initially to perfect my own work out program, but it quickly developed into a fascination with how incredible the human body is in its capacity to heal, grow and learn.

I graduated from Merrimack College with a bachelor’s in Sports Medicine and then chose to continue my education at Bridgewater State University where I received a Master’s in Physical Education. My experience as a strength and conditioning coach allowed me to develop a keen eye for analyzing movement and teaching motor patterns. I then went on to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UMass Lowell, deepening my expertise in injury prevention and rehabilitation.

My favorite part of my work is helping patients regain the confidence to get back to the
activities they are passionate about. Outside the clinic, I participate in and coach Olympic weightlifting. I also love to get outdoors by hiking or going to the beach, and I’m always up for trying a new physical activity. For a more relaxed day, I enjoy spending time with my dog, reading, or catching a good movie.
