Schroth Scoliosis Physical Therapy
Utilizing a leading European conservative therapy approach, the Schroth method of scoliosis physical therapy, Orthopaedics Plus is committed to helping patients in the Boston and greater New England area live optimally with scoliosis.
The Schroth method of scoliosis physical therapy, which incorporates three-dimensional curve-specific exercises, can help decrease the risk of curve progression, improve postural awareness, reduce pain, increase strength, and improve breathing and body mechanics.
This exercise approach helps educate and motivate with an overall goal of improving quality of life. All of our programs are taught by BSPTS-certified physical therapists. To meet the wide range of needs of our in-town and out-0f-town patients, several appointment types are available:
- Standard – A one-on-one, patient-specific program where you meet once a week for eight to twelve weeks depending on the evaluation of each patient’s case.
- Immersion – A more time-compressed and intensive program that allows a patient to learn the technique in as little as a week. Immersion can be ideal for out-of-town and out-of-state patients who need to take time off from work. It’s also available for in-town patients who want to accelerate their learning and use of the exercises.
- Advanced Pace – A blend of our standard and immersion programs, Advanced Pace patients are trained through the use of multi-hour block sessions over fewer weeks.
